GalleyMaster XD is an Adobe PageMaker plug-in that lets you automate the formatting of databases and graphics into InDesign documents. (InDesign Version Coming Soon!)
GalleyMaster XD allows you to apply paragraph and character styles to database records and fields. No programming knowledge is required, you just export data from your database, and GalleyMaster XD walks you through the rest of the process. GalleyMaster XD allows you to easily create directories, catalogs, price lists and other data intensive publications as PageMaker documents.
With GalleyMaster XD, creating a fully formatted PageMaker document from your database is a simple 4 step process:

Export data from your database application in tab or comma delimited format.

Create character and paragraph styles or import existing styles from a PageMaker document.

Apply those styles to the records and fields that you exported.

Flow the galleys.
GalleyMaster XD allows almost complete flexibility with your database publishing project. It allows you to apply any character, paragraph or tab style available in PageMaker to each of the records and fields of your database. It has the ability to let you put the filename of a graphic in one of your database fields, and have that graphic imported as an inline graphic along with your text. Using this feature you could produce catalogs with illustrations from a database.
A similar feature is available for inline text files, which would let you specify a filename for a text file in a database field, and have that textfile imported with the style and paragraph specs that you applied to that field. This might be useful for newspaper and magazine publishing.You can insert bullets, dollar signs, soft returns, hard returns, tabs or any other special characters before, after or within fields. You can include page breaks, column breaks, and 'keep with' attributes in GalleyMaster XD Styles to make your document format exactly as you want it.
If you can make it with PageMaker, you can probably make it from a database with GalleyMaster XD.
